Haven't Been On Here in Awhile

Our new little Granddaughter was born on July 29 2010.

Weighing 7lb 1 oz and was 19 1/2 in.long

They named her Sequoia Sky and she so precious. We are planning on

seeing her and her two brothers on Aug.16th and can't wait to see our

little guys and new little girl.

She looks a lot like my daughter Cheri when she was baby!
We are hoping that all of our family will be going down to visit on

Monday so we can take family pictures of all the Grandkids together!!

I have been busy taking care of my little Grandson for four

months since he was born. He was a pretty sick little guy and when he was

two months old had to have surgery for a blockage from the stomack to the small

intestine. He was in ICU for five days but since then has done so well and now

weights a little over 15 pounds. We have so much fun with him!

is Alyssa Blue and she is from the Marie Osmond Collection.

She was sculped by Kathy Smith Fitspatrick.

She has a very unique little face & big eyes.

Well this is my first Metamorphsis Monday thanks to Susan at Between

Naps On the porch. I have been working on my Grandsons bedroom

all last week and we finally finished it on Saturday. I don't have a

before picture but the room was just white and had old off white drapes.

Justin who's 8 and Erik 6 picked out their new room color. They choose

this nice blue color because it was the color of the boys room in the movie Toy

Story. So Grams, that's me & their Pops my hubby got busy preparing the room

and getting it all ready to begin painting.

The picture below shows it all painted with new valances in the

Star War theme.

New comforters, Justin's picked Star Wars but Erik wanted his to be

Sponge Bob, so that's what he got!

More wall stickers and a nice new book shelf for their books
and collections!

They also love the Car's movie, so we did a border around the room of
car wall stickers.

We also took off their closet doors and made their closet into a

storage area for all their toys which keeps them organized

and easy to get to when they want to play.
We left the inside of the closet white so their would be a

contrast in the room. My daughter bought a bunch of

containers to put all their toys in. They pull out like drawers

and it keeps everything neat and in it's place.

They love their room now and have been keeping it neat!

They have a new little brother coming in April and we thought

since we were doing the baby's room we better do their room

too so they would feel special and have a new room to be proud of.

Next week I will show the new nursery all finished and

waiting for baby Christian to arrive!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY PARTY TIME

Today I wanted to share this cute little girl that my

hubby got me for Valentines Day. Her name is Scarlet and she

from the Marie Osmond collection and sculped by artist Kathy

Smith Fitzpatrick. The beautiful candy box was a gift from my

good friend Linda. Thanks to Laurie for having this fun party.

award winner last year. She has beautiful long dark hair and is dressed

This little sweet doll is named Cheri and she is made by the Ashten Drake Co.

I got her because she reminded me of my daughter when she was a baby and

her name is spelled the way my daughter Cheri's is.

I bought this wicker swan at a Antique shop in Datian Neveda a couple of years

ago. It was all dirty and was a natural wicker color. I spray painted white and relined

it with lace and hot glued pearls and satin pink roses and bows to it.

I made this little pillow to match for head to lay on.

Here she is in her new bed.

A Few More Things Added For Valentines

Added a few new things to my Valentine Stuff. I found these

cute heart lights at Target on Friday. They are pretty at night

when their just on alone. I also added heart doilies to my three

tier dish in the kitchen. I decorated my coffee table too with all

red pieces. The basket is Fenton, the dish is carnival glass and the

red bowl with the candle I got at Ross last week.

I found these ornaments in my closet a few days ago and

had forgotton that I bought these at a Antique shop in Reno

last year! They are Royal Albert Old Country Roses and I was able
to get four of them. They are very heavy but so pretty on the tree.

I woke up yesterday with this idea in my head so I went to the

garage and got my pink tree! I have been collecting Pinky and Blue

Boy for some time now and have a lot of it in my master bedroom.

So I decided to a tree with this theme and I really like it for change

and it goes perfect with my room. Two years ago I was lucky to find these

Christopher Radko ornaments on Ebay. I try to collect everything I can

find of Pinky & Blue Boy!

Over the weekend my daughter Cheri and I went shopping to Toys R Us and found this cute set for the nursery. It's called Animals of the Rainforest by Fisher Price.

I bought this for her along with the lamp to match and also some wall stickers to match. I was on ebay and found some light switches and some dresser knobs.

Happy Thanksgiving!

My daughter and I cooked all day and we are finally done. We made home made

cornbread stuffing, jello salad, Banana bread and two pecan pies and one pumpkin.

I am still recovering from surgery so she had to help with all the pre cooking. She learned

how to make pies today and stuffing and she did a excellent job!

She is coming over early tomorrow afternoon to help me with the dinner. Everyone

will be here except my number two son Chris and his family. My daughter in law

called me to say that she is having a baby too! So I am excited to have two new

grandchildren next year! One little boy due in April and this one will be due

at the end of July. Still hoping for that girl, so we have to wait until the

ultra sound to find out!!

Yesterday my daughter Cheri went in for her ultra sound and she is having a boy! This will be three sons for her and five grandsons for me. I was hoping for a little girl this time so I could share my doll collection with. So now it's up to my son Chris for a girl. They have two sons and want another one so maybe they will have a little girl. I am happy with the new baby boy coming the first part of April! It will be so much fun to have a little one to cuddle and take care of. Justin, Cheri's 8 year old wanted a sister but Erik who is 6 said he only wanted a brother because he didn't want any barbies in his room! Lol They are both very excited to have a new baby brother coming to their house.

My First Post!

Welcome to my blog! I decided to start doing this while I am recovering from surgery that was done in late Sept. I am on restricted activity which means no housework for three months! No lifting, pulling or pushing! I guess I should be thrilled at the no housework thing but after awhile it gets old. I am not used to
not working so it's getting a little boring. I still have six weeks to go and should be doing much better just around Christmas time. I love to decorate for the holidays but won't be able to do all of it this year.
My daughter helped me with the Halloween decorations this year. We didn't get to the usual ones for the outside decore but did get a fall wreath for the door.
I will add some Halloween pictures later on and also some of the fall decorations that I put out this week.
